The Voices of the River: Presentation of results of the River Socio-environmental Project

Broadcast by El COLEF

This policy brief was developed based on the work of the Tijuana River Socio-Environmental Project and a workshop held at El COLEF on February 23, 2023. Participants in the workshop included representatives from government, civil society, academia, and several international organizations. Using tools such as Theory of Change and a conversational map, they collaboratively constructed a "solutions tree," from which seven objectives with concrete actions emerged to improve social integration, public health, reduce violence and better manage water in the Tijuana River basin.

We promote initiatives and projects that drive real change in the communities along the Tijuana River. Through collaborative work with social, academic and governmental stakeholders, we develop strategies that strengthen public policies and generate sustainable solutions with social and environmental impact.
